Sunny Ahluwalia Charitable Foundation in association with BD Memorial School on Road Safety awareness program kick start with the investiture ceremony of Road Safety Ambassadors on 04.10.2017. The SACF Vice President Mrs. Honey Preet Ahluwalia, SACF ‘s Road Safety Program Coordinator Mr. Amarjeet Singh and volunteer Harvinder Pal Kaur were present. Honey Ahluwalia gave a brief introduction of NGO and its mission. She explained the need of working with students on road safety awarness that SACF wants to CATCH THEM YOUNG in the formative years only, so that they grow into responsible citizens with a human touch Our world needs smart and sensible road users.
Road safety ambassadors will lighten the lamp of awareness via the road safety activities in team. They will do it in their schools and public places as well to create road safety awareness among students, parents , elders and general public.
Mr. Amarjeet Singh introduced details of 3 months road safety program which these ambassadors will conduct during the next three months and that is from October 2017 to Dec 2017. He also conducted the pledge taking ceromony. The whole school took part in the road safety Pledge.
Students were very enthusiastic to work for this noble cause.
Schools’s Road safety coordinator delivered a speech on how important it is to follow road safety rules in todays roads
The captain of the program Yuvraj Singh Class X also spoke about the dire consequences of road accidents if rules are not followed.
The whole school witnessed the ceremony during the morning assembly. All students took part in Road Safety pledge conducted by Mr. Amarjeet Singh.
The Chairman of the school encouraged the students to take part in road safety awareness programs and to inculcate good road using habbits.
