First Aid & Good Samaritan Law Awareness Workshop
Venue: Police DAV School, Ambala City

The Sunny Ahluwalia Foundation organized a First Aid workshop demonstrated by the RED CROSS Society Ambala to familiarize our Road safety ambassadors with the basic first aid given at the time of emergency.

We introduced a law passed by the Supreme Courts of India, named 'The Good Samaritan Law' to our participants.

A quiz was organized on the basis of a first aid workshop. Hundreds of students participated with infectious enthusiasm. The winners of the quiz program were given prizes.

There was an awareness speech, instructional videos, PPT’s on how important is it to help accident victims and how a good Samaritan is protected from legal hazards.

We believe this has surely made a shift in the minds of students towards being a Good Samaritan to humanity; assuring them that their efforts will not make them persecuted but celebrated.

Young people are sometimes the best of rescuers due to their sense of daring, fearlessness and will to help. We found it logical to train our road safety ambassadors with ‘First Aid’ skills, guided by the help of experts from Red Cross, Ambala.

Accurate knowledge about first aid will encourage a person to extend a helping hand confidently at the hour of emergency.

Dr. Vikas Kohli Principal Police DAV School Ambala gave the introduction to our NGO.

Mr. Anil Sharma, ASI Traffic Police Ambala gave an insight on how police give support to good samaritans who help accident victims.

Mrs. Honey Preet Ahluwalia, Vice President, The Sunny Ahluwalia Foundation gave a complete knowledge about the law passed by Supreme Courts of India.
