The 2nd Sunny Ahluwalia Road Safety award was organized on 7th Feb 2019,It was the grand culmination of a three-month-long road safety awareness program.
The Mrs.Sharandeep Kaur Brar, IAS, DC Ambala graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Dr. Rajinder Singh, Principal of SD College, was the guest of honor. Students from NSS SD College volunteered in the entire event
Mrs. Reena Singla brought insight into the Good Samaritan Law with her speech. Our partner school students performed different road safety awareness activities like awareness programs, speeches, pledges etc during these 3 months.
They also took part in the following events organized by The Sunny Ahluwalia Charitable Foundation.
1. Two months of intensive Road Safety Awareness Program at school.
2. First Aid workshop was demonstrated by Red Cross on 20.11.2018
3. Road Safety Rally conducted in Ambala City on 21.12.2018
4. Interschool Poster Making Competition on Road Safety
5. Interschool Article Writing Competition on Road Safety.
PKR Jain Vatika School bagged the Best School Award.
The Most Active Participation Award was awarded to
Police DAV School, Ambala City,
Murlidhar DAV School, Ambala City
Tulsi Public School, Ambala City.
Participation Awards were also given to
BD Memorial School Ambala Cantt.
Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Main Branch, Ambala Cantt.
The foundation also honored Kavita Anand and Manu Sachdeva of Murlidhar DAV School with a Good Samaritan Award.
